Slow Living in Athens with The Halo Collection
Have you ever returned from a holiday feeling more exhausted than when you left? Many trips are packed with back-to-back sightseeing, tight schedules...

I moved from Singapore to Athens at 59. I didn't expect a roundabout to change my thinking.
I watched cars inside a roundabout stop to let entering traffic through. The opposite of every road rule I'd ever known. I waited for the chaos. It never came.
I watched a car weasel its way into a tight parking spot by nudging the car in front and the one behind. In Singapore, hands would be flying in the air. Here, everyone just shrugged it off. No damage, no fuss.
That's when I realised, Athens doesn't follow the rule book. It wrote its own. Thousands of years ago. And it works!
Singapore taught me precision. Structure. That there is a right way to do things and you follow it, full stop. I lived that life well and I loved it. But somewhere in me, I was ready for a city that moves on instinct. That trusts people to figure it out. That has been navigating its own beautiful, maddening logic since before most countries existed.
Less than a year in, I'm still watching. Still learning. Still occasionally sitting and wondering how everyone just knows. Completely, unexpectedly hooked.
Athens gets into you quietly. And then one day you realise you stopped waiting for it to make sense and started just living in it.
That's the city we built The Halo Collection in. And honestly, we wouldn't have it any other way.
